Plans & Billing
Your plan sets how many people can change things in your organization and which features they get. You manage it in Subscription & Billing in the portal. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Plans at a glance
Free's counts are organization-wide and lifetime.
Pro and Team are billed per editor, and Team costs more per seat. Viewers are free on every plan. On Team, single sign-on applies to the whole organization.
What Free does not include
Five features are gated by plan rather than capped by count. Where you would use one, its button names the plan that unlocks it and explains the feature instead of acting.
Every plan can use your own model-provider key, so chat keeps working after the trial credits run out. Every plan also allows agent write access: a read + write MCP token works on Free, and what the agent writes counts against the same limits.
Connectors are on every plan as well. Reading connected documents in chat, Share to Slack and Send to Jira all work on Free. See Integrations Reference.
Free and Pro cannot use single sign-on at any seat count. On Team or Enterprise, connect your identity provider with Enterprise SSO.
Seats, editors and viewers
A seat is a member who can change your organization's content: an Editor or an Admin. Every active editor and every pending invitation with the Editor or Admin role holds a billed seat. The subscription page shows the count as Seats.
A Viewer never holds a seat, on any plan. Viewers read every board, work item and insight their access allows, open chat, and run the code plugin against an app board that already exists. Through the plugin they also pick up the work items assigned to them. Free includes 5 viewers; Pro and Team have unlimited viewers under the fair-use limits below. The Team page shows owners and admins both counts: Editors against your seats, and Viewers against Free's five.
Developers who keep the map current are not seats. Pushing through the code plugin needs a member on the app board's binding, viewer or editor; creating the app board or connecting a new source is an editor's step. A developer who pushes but doesn't edit is a viewer, so on Free they take one of the five viewer places. On Pro and Team, price scales on editors and sources, never on how many people push.
A role change moves a member between the two counts. Making a viewer an editor takes a free seat, so if every seat is in use, free one or add seats first. Making an editor a viewer frees their seat and takes a viewer place. Suspending or disabling a member frees whichever place they held, and bringing them back takes one again.
You can buy seats ahead of hiring, and add or remove them at any time. We prorate the difference.

Change your plan or seats
- Open Subscription & Billing in the portal.
- Click Change plan or seats.
- Pick the plan and the number of editors you want.
- Read the consequences we list, then confirm.
The preview lists everything the change will do: what you pay today, what you pay from then on, when it takes effect, and whether single sign-on starts or stops. We charge nothing until you confirm that screen.
When a change takes effect
Your new recurring total, not whether you move up or down a plan, sets the timing:
Adding seats to your current plan raises the total, so it takes effect immediately, like moving up a plan.
Confirming a new change replaces one scheduled for period end, and the preview warns you before it does.
Downgrading away from single sign-on
If your new plan doesn't include SSO, we suspend your connection on the effective date rather than delete it. Three things happen at once:
- Federated logins stop.
- Require SSO switches off, so nobody is locked out. Members sign in with email and password, or with Google.
- Your identity provider details and verified domains stay on file.
When you upgrade again, SSO resumes immediately. You won't re-enter your IdP configuration or re-verify your domains.
Tell your team before a downgrade takes effect. A member who has only ever signed in through your IdP needs a password afterwards. They can set one with Forgot password? on the login page.
Cancel or resume
Click Cancel subscription on the subscription page. Cancellation always takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep full access until then.
On the effective date your organization moves to Free: your seat count drops to 1, and single sign-on stops under the same suspension rules as a downgrade. Your boards, sources, and history stay where they are. Viewers above Free's five stay too. No new viewer can be added until the count is under five, as editors above the seat count block the next invitation.
To keep your subscription, confirm any plan change before the effective date. That clears the pending cancellation, and your subscription renews as normal.
Payment
Stripe processes payments, and card details never reach our servers. Use Manage billing on the subscription page to change the card on file or download invoices. When a payment is past due, the page's banner offers Update payment method.
- The Free plan needs no payment details at all.
- Paid plans are billed monthly. Annual billing is available by arrangement: talk to us if procurement needs it.
Paid plans are not refundable. An annual plan arranged with us follows the terms of that arrangement. If you buy as a consumer rather than for a business, your statutory rights still apply; see the Terms of Service.
Fair-use limits
Boards, published boards, context boards, work items, insights and viewers are unlimited on paid plans, within an organization-wide fair-use policy. The same policy covers graph storage on every plan, including Free.
Each ceiling starts at an allowance for the smallest team on your plan and rises with every editor you add. The pricing page publishes both the starting figure and the per-editor rate.
If your board count gets close, your boards list shows where you stand against the limit.
When you reach a ceiling, creating anything new pauses until we've talked. Nothing you've already built changes. Talk to us when that happens, or beforehand if you know a large import is coming.
Verify your billing setup
- The plan shown on the subscription page is the one you expect
- Your seat count is at least the number of editors and admins in your organization
- A payment method is on file, and its expiry is in the future
- On Team or Enterprise, single sign-on is configured and a domain is verified
- No unexpected scheduled change or pending cancellation is listed
