Welcome to ProvenMap
ProvenMap turns scattered architecture knowledge into a queryable system map. It builds a graph from your code and docs, keeps it in sync, and answers questions in plain language. The same map is also where teams plan, review, and verify changes.
How it works
There are three steps:
Understand. Add sources (code, docs, URLs) and work with them in your workspace using boards, insights, and chat. Publish read-only boards so the rest of your team can use the same view.
Plan. Write what should change on the board itself as an intent. An intent is a living spec. It can start as an outcome or as a concrete piece of work.
Evolve. Released intents go into coding sessions and get implemented in the repo. The next sync updates the map and verifies structural work against the code.
Every board is built from nodes (components) and edges (connections). Nodes & Edges explains the building blocks.
Start here
Choose the plugin-led path, or draw the landscape yourself and map repos into it.
Getting Started — Plugin or Chat
An interview — from the architect plugin or from chat — draws the landscape. The code plugin builds each board from its repo.
Getting Started — Hands-On
Draw the landscape yourself from the archetype library, then add layers, repos, and docs.
Org Intelligence
Connect many boards into one queryable, org-wide landscape.
For Every Role
Systems, code, product, or leadership — see how each role uses the same loop.
